What is a synopsis and why is it important?

Publishers and literary agencies often request various documents in order to assess a manuscript. One of these usually is a synopsis, which is a summary and brief outline of the complete manuscript. The synopsis is an important part of finding a publisher and should not be underestimated.

However, many authors find it difficult to distance themselves enough from their manuscript in order to be able to summarise and describe it objectively and classify it appropriately. Furthermore, they often do not have the necessary knowledge of the publishing industry and literary genres, classifications of texts or possible books they can compare their work with.

What can the agency do?

We can help you write a synopsis that will make your manuscript attractive to publishers. We have the necessary impartiality and knowledge of the publishing industry and your needs and standards as well as experience in summarising, portraying and classifying texts in order to help you write an appropriate synopsis for your manuscript.
